    »Red Eye Of Love

    September 21, 2014 3:00 PM

Tony Award-winning orchestrator Ted Sperling ("The Light in the Piazza") directs the off-Broadway premiere of "Red Eye of Love", a zany musical comedy about a young woman who's courted by two drastically different men. Wilmer's a naive young dreamer, while the blustery businessman O.O. Martinas happens to own the world's largest butcher store. Described as a "girl-meats-boy" story, the love triangle plays out against the ups and downs of American life, through war and good and bad economic times. Based on a 1961 play by Arnold Weinstein, Amas' new musical comedy boasts a score by Sam Davis, book and lyrics by Weinstein and John Wulp and stars Alli Mauzey ("Cry Baby, Wicked"), Josh Grisetti ("Enter Laughing") and Kevin Pariseau ("Legally Blonde").
