This non-profit arts organization encompasses 7,500 square feet and has fifty members internationally. Flux Factory aims to support and collaborate art works with different artists all over NYC, thereby forcing them to work together. Works that are in dialog with the physical, social, and cultural space of the city are brought together here. Flux Factory also provides a computer center, performance space, music recording space, publishing equipment, and a weekly night dinner to present finished pieces and works-in-progress.

Affiliated with NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, Materials for the Arts (MFTA) is an organization that supports creative endeavors and artists from all over the city. Established in 1978, MFTA makes resources and spaces available to the artists and art institutions. Working in sync with major corporate houses and individual donors, it takes unused or used materials from them and passes it on to the various groups who need it; this ensures recycling of waste and also helps the artists with their budget. Tucked away in Queens is an old-fashioned testament to film and television. The actual studios of the one-time Paramount East Coast production house are closed, but the museum provides tours about film making where you can see makeup, costumes and well-known movie sets. City Ice Pavilion is a rooftop ice rink located in Long Island City, New York. This rink is larger than many others in the city, and usually has simultaneous hockey and skate activities going on. Built in 1895-97, the Bohemian National Hall is historically important and significant. Symbolizing the rich Czech culture and heritage, the grand structure once housed a shooting gallery, classrooms and spacious halls, used as venue for conferences and social events. Since its reconstruction, the five story hall has now been a home to a restaurant, a library, a gallery, a Czech restaurant and most importantly The Bohemian Benevolent and Literary Association. This highly ornamented, Roman brick structure is a marvel in its own way, bringing back memories of the Czech immigrants to the US in the 19th century.
