Pallbearer is an Arkansas-based metal band that emerged in 2008 out of the underground metal scene in Little Rock. After unofficially dropping its 2010 demo, the band released its debut album Sorrow and Extinction, in 2012. The band embarked on a tour of the US following the album's release, stopping in major music cities across the country such as Nashville and Austin.
Since its formation in 1988, Supersuckers has remained one of the most notable underground county punk acts in the US. Formed in Tucson, AZ the band quickly developed a following with its mix of twangy Southern rock and roll and rollicking punk rock elements. Most notable for its mid-1990s recordings with Sub Pop Records, particularly its first alternative country album Must've Been High, Supersuckers has mastered its raucous sound despite an almost consistently shifting lineup and a short hiatus.
A man and a guitar. This pairing can warrant unlimited results. Many modern traveling minstrels have banked off it and Leo Kottke is one of them. The Athens, Georgia-based musician released his first LP in 1969 and since then he has had a storied career as a professional guitar player. Kottke's prowess on his instrument typically astounds people and helps shift attention away from the fact that Kottke hardly ever sings. Playing a unique style of roots, folk and bluegrass, to name a few genres Kottke dabbles in, the virtuosic acoustic guitar plucker has come to be known over the years as one of the leading talents of his generation.
