Toni Price was born in Philadelphia to adoptive parents. She soon sparked an ardent interest in music after falling in love with songs by the female blues legend Bonnie Raitt. Price moved to New Jersey and began playing a number of shows around the state, but after becoming disenfranchised with the lack of country musicians on the East Coast, she decided to pack up and move to Nashville. Thinking that she'd find an idealistic wonderland where she'd be encouraged to create music, Price kept running into brick walls because of the entrenched country music business. Nevertheless, Price played a lot of shows and grew as a musician. After accepting an invitation to perform at the South by Southwest Music Festival, Price traveled to Austin and immediately fell in love with the city. She released her debut album, Swim Away, in 1993 and since then, she has grown into a formidable and well-known voice in the Austin country music scene.
Mau Mau Chaplains is roots reggae at its finest. The sizable ensemble of members is a mix-mash of members formerly belonging to other reggae outfit such as the The Lotions, as well as I-Tex, Killer Bees and Pressure. Like I-Tex, Mau Mau Chaplains also sometimes delves into a sound that's a reggae/country hybrid.

Songstress Tameca Jones is one of the few musicians to be born and raised in Texas' famous and musically rich city of Austin. Referred to by locals as the "Tina Turner of jazz" due to her trademark style, Jones sings easy listening lounge as well as upbeat soulful pop with equal success. Though only present on the music circuit for the past three years and without a label or an album, Jones has opened for the likes of Smokey Robinson and David Sanborn. Jones usually performs with her quartet backing band, which is just as adept at switching genres as Jones herself.
