Comeback Kid is a hardcore punk band from Winnipeg that was formed in 2002 by members of Figure Four, Andrew Neufeld and Jeremy Hiebert. The band released its debut album Turn It Around, in 2003 with metalcore influences woven into its sound, earning Comeback Kid acclaim among both punk and metal audiences. The band's 2008 album, Through the Noise, was a CD/DVD release that covered the previous six years of the band's existence and prompted a two-year long international tour. Comeback Kid began recording its fourth studio album upon its return in 2010 and released Symptons + Cures later the same year.

Located in California's Central Valley, Bakersfield is a city that has thrived off of agricultural production since it was founded in the 1800s. Though the city is a thriving agrarian mecca, Bakersfield has managed to build a name for itself as a fairly respectable artistic hub with organizations like the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra. First starting out as a community orchestra with adults and student instrumentalists in the 1920, it would exist for for nearly a decade until it officially became the Bakersfield Orchestra in 1932, with the intent of playing two compositional classics every year. It has since become a heatedly more professional company, performing numerous shows around the year, playing a range of material including modern symphonic pieces and more revered pieces from the likes of Beethoven and Mozart

The Rx Bandits are one of the few remaining bands that emerged during the American public's infatuation with ska music in the '90s. Though starting out as a ska-punk band, the Bandits have largely opted to evolve out of that genre, favoring a more alternative rock sound.
