    »Leone Riverside Park

    This small park, just south of the Inner Harbor, offers a gigantic, well-kept public swimming pool, where neighborhood children swim for a dollar a day during July and August. There are plenty of benches, and a small gazebo offers a shady spot for a picnic lunch. Other sporting facilities include basketball courts, and two ballfields. In 2008 this park was named one of Baltimore's historical landmarks.

    A nonprofit sailing organization, this company offers affordable sailing opportunities, including youth and adult lessons, recreational sailing and racing. Sailing opportunities are available for all age and skill levels. Adult lessons are offered Monday evenings and select weekends May-October. More than 800 youngsters have attended the center's Junior Sailing Camp and hundreds of adults have learned to sail through its sailing programs. Wednesdays nights are open sailing. Skipper and crew members gather on the dock and are matched according to abilities.

    Federal Hill Park is a pristine park offering spectacular views of the Inner Harbor and a wonderful, fenced-in play area for the kids, complete with slides, a sandbox and monkey bars. After you've reached Baltimore's Inner Harbor, it won't be too hard to spot the one you've got to board as it's the only charter to depart from Fell's Point.
