»Louisiana Child Well-being Summit 2015

April 29, 2015 8:30 AM is proud to be able to continue the work of last year’s very successful Summit by convening experts, advocates and providers to learn more about how maltreatment, trauma and violence detrimentally effect our children.  Our desire is for this Summit to be solution-focused and result in the development of strategies and policies that support well-being and ensure that young people can successfully transition to adulthood. The goals for this year's summit are to: (1)    Educate attendees about current research, evidence-based practices, policy and the law. (2)    Educate attendees about the connection between investments in evidence-based programs, policies and practices that effect well-being and the long-term benefits for the individual and the State. (3)    Educate attendees about the Louisiana Behavioral Health Partnership-Bayou Health Transition to Integrated Healthcare.  Make recommendations to DHH, Medicaid and Bayou Health companies based on best practices and stakeholder input. --- Check out the full agenda HERE. »Aaron Lewis

April 30, 2015 9:00 PM

Aaron Lewis is the lead singer of the band Staind. Lewis formed Staind in Massachusetts, where he grew up, and even though the group was known for its hard rock sound they performed multiple acoustic shows. He had played solo shows prior to forming Staind, but didn't release his debut LP Town Line until 2011. His debut single "Country Boy" features a verse by George Jones and a spoken word segment by legendary fiddler Charlie Daniels. Tow Line presents audiences with a different side of Aaron Lewis, since he has written lyrics about the American heartland, instead of the miseries of life.
