St. Stephen's is a beautiful historic church, serving the Episcopal Christian community of Beverly New Jersey. This stone church was built in the mid-1850s, replacing the original wood church on Cooper Street, that was the first home of the parishioners. Reflecting Gothic Revival style, the church features a towering steeple perched upon its entrance. The simplistic interior of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, featuring wooden pews and stained glass work, has remained unchanged since the its construction.
Established in 1974 as one of the largest centers in the area, the Northeast Racquet Club and Fitness Center has a full circuit of nautilus apparatus, free weights and racquet sports areas. Built in 1731, the Southampton Baptist Church is standing still today. This landmark is touted to be one the foremost baptist churches in the county. Both the church and its cemetery were incorporated in the National Register of Historic Places in the year 1978.
Located in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Bristol Historic District has over 300 buildings, few of which date back to the early 18th Century. It is bounded by the Delaware River, Lincoln Pond, Cedar, and Mill streets. The district was a transportation hub in the 19th Century, bustling with crowded hotels, docks and warehouses. The boom ended after the traffic to New York found a bypass, avoiding Bristol. The economy recovered after mills and factories were founded post Civil War. Out of the 300 and more buildings, only a few are not counted as historic contributors.
The St. Mary's Episcopal Church is a lovely church established in 1703. The church building has undergone restorations in the past. The old building was replaced with a new one in 1854. The new building of St. Mary's Episcopal is spread over an area of 6.2 acres (2.5 hectares) and is built with the Gothic Revival style of architecture. The beautiful exteriors and warm interiors of the church will take you back to the olden times. Regular services and all other religious ceremonies are still conducted at the church.
Joseph H Brown Elementary School is one of the finer schools located in Northeast Philadelphia. Constructed and designed by Irwin T. Catharine, it is an example of Art Deco and modern schools of architecture. It provides education for children from kindergarten to sixth grade.
