These nine holes have enticed many a golfer to take a long lunch from time to time. This public, par-27 course offers a quick escape from work or an ideal place to hold a meeting while on the links. Located within the city limits, Quarette is located in Northeast Philadelphia just minutes away from the business district. Don't worry about stopping to pick up your clubs rentals are available. Reservations are not required, greens fees are $9 on the weekdays and $10 on the weekend. Enjoy a cocktail afterward at the bar while you add up your score. The course is open April-November.

As a part of the well-known La Salle University, the Tom Gola Arena hosts many sports' tournaments. It is named after Tom Gola, a player and coach who is in the Basketball Hall of Fame. With an expansive space of about 4000 square feet area, there are both basketball and volleyball courts nestled here. So there are many interesting matches among the local colleges to look forward to.
This facility is home to the Trenton Titans of the East Coast Hockey League and also plays host to the circus, concerts, graduations, and boxing matches, and other events; the Arena is a ten thousand seat facility.
The Johnson House, built in 1768, served as a stop for fugitive slaves who were making their way North on the underground railroad during the 19th Century. It is the only known structure of this type in Philadelphia that is currently open to the pubic. The Johnson House is presently owned and operated by the Germantown Historic Trust and offers interpretative programs in American history as well as supporting resources to the public.

Designed by Alex Findlay and opened in 1935, the Walnut Lane Golf Club is a public course conveniently located within Philadelphia city limits. The 4300 yard, par 62, 18-hole course is lends itself to squeezing in a quick round before the sun sets in the summer. Club rentals and instructional lessons are available along with a full service pro shop and restaurant and bar facilities. Open year round.
The Philadelphia Doll Museum is home to one of the world's premier collections of black dolls, with more than 300 dolls from the early 19th century on display. Other highlights include European and American folk arts, doll artists' dolls and a collection of European dolls and reproductions by Leo Moss. A gift store is open during museum hours.
