Do not let Taste of Thai's shopping center location put you off. The interior is filled with beautiful Thai photographs, art and jewelry (some for sale). Sunlight illuminates the dining room and the tables are nicely set. The service is excellent. You will find traditional Thai dishes (pad thai, red and green curries) as well as daily specials. Two of their best dishes are Massamam chicken with potatoes and coconut curry sauce and stir-fried green beans. Upon request, the chef will adjust recipes to avoid patrons' food allergies.
Located on Montgomery Highway in Vestavia, Sol Azteca has been serving great Mexican food for many years. Like many Mexican restaurants, Sol Azteca is decorated inside with assorted Mexican folk art, sombreros and blankets. The food is excellent, and the portions are large. The salsa is particularly noteworthy, and the service is friendly and fast.
