Hannibal Buress is a stand-up comedian and television writer based out of New York City. Named one of Variety magazine's "Ten Comics to Watch in 2010," he has steadily amassed a solid following thanks to well-received television appearances on late night talk shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In 2009 and 2010, Buress acted as a member of the writing staff on Saturday Night Live, which eventually led to his receiving another writing gig on the popular NBC program 30 Rock. Raised by a blues musician and a civil rights lawyer, she grew up surrounded by the chaos of music and politics, lending her a sharp eye for the absurdities and injustices of everyday life. After moving to New York City at the age of 17, she began looking for acting gigs while honing her character-powered stand-up acts, and she earned her first taste of recognition as a finalist on the seventh season of Last Comic Standing in 2010.
