George Thorogood & The Destroyers

Harrisburg, PA 17101
George Thorogood is a guitarist who is probably best known for his hit song "Bad to the Bone" as well as for his covers of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" and Hank Williams' "Move it on Over." Born and raised in Delaware, growing up Thorogood had two passions: music and baseball. He was quite good at the latter--so good, in fact, that his band, The Destroyers, forced him to quit baseball to focus solely on music. The dedication paid off when George Thorogood and the Destroyers released their eponymously-titled debut album in 1977. The LP managed to catch some buzz and soon the band had built a national fan base that was extremely keen on the group's characteristic boogie rock sound. Though Thorogood's fame has faded significantly since his glory days in the late-1970s and 1980s, he still releases music and tours, playing to his enduring fan base of aging music aficionados.

One of the most respected guitarists of modern music, Tommy Emmanuel owns a complex finger style technique that has garnered him thousands of fans worldwide. Instead of using a band to create a melody, rhythm, and bass, Emmanuel requires only a single guitar to create fully realized songs. With a catalog of two dozen albums and a career spanning half a century, Emmanuel has collected well deserved critical acclaim since he released his debut album From Out Of Nowhere, in 1979. On top of his own solo work, he is known for his various collaborations with other renowned artists such as Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, Keith Urban, and Stevie Wonder. Though he continues to release and perform new material for audiences all over the world, Emmanuel has already solidified his standing as a legendary master of guitar.

Hot Club of Cowtown is a trio of fiddle, guitar and bass that released its debut LP, Swinging Stampede, in 1998 and garnered the fascination of Bob Dylan, who hired the group's sole female member Elana James to be a part of his backing band in 2005. The ensemble plays a characteristic style of rockabilly tunes and during live shows the group incorporates a number of bluegrass and western swing favorites like "Ida Red" and "Orange Blossom Special" into its repertoire.
