Easy Star All-Stars is a reggae collective with members based in both Jamaica and the US that is perhaps best known for its reggae reinterpretations of some of the most celebrated rock albums in history. Since bursting out on the scene with release of its debut re-imagining of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, appropriately titled Dub Side of the Moon, Easy Star All-Stars has grown to become one of the world's more recognizable reggae acts. Easy Star All-Stars has since gone on to release albums that recast the works of Radiohead, The Beatles, as well as its own original works, with the collective's Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band becoming the first reggae album in a substantial period of time to break the Billboard 200 twice.

Corey Smith is a singer/songwriter and guitarist who grew up in Jefferson, a small town in Georgia. For much of his adolescence, Smith was discontent with his small town roots, admitting later that he often dreamed of leaving Jefferson. After one semester abroad, he found that his heart remained in Georgia and returned home to attend the University of West Georgia and then the University of Georgia, where his longtime girlfriend and now wife attended. During school, he developed a reputation for playing his guitar everywhere and anywhere, often spotted with the instrument at parties and bars. His debut album Undertones, released in 2003, features one of his most requested songs, "Twenty One." Smith gained a solid fan base with his alcohol and party-driven lyrics as well as his folk rock/country blues sound, a brand of music that he continued throughout his following albums including his 2011 effort, The Broken Record.

The Commodores is a soul and funk band best-known for both its ballads and dance-floor hits from the late 1970s. Originally formed as the Mystics in 1968, the six-piece group changed its name to The Commodores and captured the public's attention with its distinctive pop-infused funk sound. By the mid-1970s, the band had solidified itself as a internationally-renowned Motown act, particularly after the release of its 1975 albumCaught In the Act, and the smash hit, "Brick House." Arguably its most recognizable song, the 1977 single also marked a transition period in the band's sound from funk hits to softer ballads. Though The Commodores never reached the same level of acclaim after co-lead singer Lionel Richie left the band to pursue a solo career in 1982, the band continues to spread its music with live performances while also leaving its mark on contemporary soul music throughits imprint, Commodores Records.
