With a refined sound that capitalized off crisp studio production and finely tuned vocals, Hall & Oates were predominate fixtures of the late '70s, early '80s pop music scene. The duo's blending of soul and new wave with rock song structures gave the group an original quality and though the group is considered to be somewhat hackneyed act by today's standards, during they're heyday Hall & Oats were the epitome of cool.
