The Ted Williams Museum & Hitters Hall of Fame located at Tropicana Field, is a memoir and tribute to the man himself, Ted Williams. The museum was originally located in Hernando and then moved here to its current location in 2006. The museum is an approximate 7,000 square foot facility, holds all the memorabilia of baseball that is connected to Williams during his playing days for the Bostan Red Sox and the United States Marine Corps, as well as his time off the field. The museum also has a Hitters Hall of Fame that was introduced in 2003 that features all big names in the games Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and more. Open to only those attending the games at the field, the museum is a great collection of the players, especially Williams’ personal, as well as career making tokens. Photographs, trophies, figurines, gloves, uniforms, shoes, bats and lots more bring hordes of fans during every game, to celebrate a lost baseball champ. Call ahead for timings and other details.
