Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke has been making country rock music since 2000, after forming in Atlanta. The band's music reflects a wide range of influences including blues rock and metal guitar riffs and country style vocals. Lead singer Charlie Starr and guitarist Paul Jackson carry harmonies over steady rhythms sections, a combination that has earned the band critical acclaim, particularly on its 2009 album, Little Piece of Dixie. Already having shared multiple stages with ZZ Top and Lynryd Skynyrd, Blackberry Smoke has been exposed to premier examples of rock bands and is well on its way to making a lasting name for itself in Southern rock history.

Based out of Oakhurst, New Jersey, Lost in Society first started getting serious about music in 2004, when the trio had the opportunity to play a gig at a prominent Jersey venue. After that, the band began to hone its sound into a blend of carefree pop punk and heavier alternative rock, topped off by front man Zach Moyle's raspy vocals. While building up a fan base, the band managed to win the coveted Metromix BreakThru statewide competition, which brought the group to the attention of Bouncing Souls member Pete Steinkopf, who offered to produce the band's next single. After such a whirlwind of success, Lost in Society easily established itself as one of New Jersey's most promising up-and-coming acts.

Lydia Loveless is an alternative country singer/songwriter from Colombus, Ohio whose unique voice has been praised by fans as recalling some of the female legends of country music's past while possessing a unique talent for songwriting and performing that strives to lead alternative country into the future. However, what separates Loveless from her more populist contemporaries is the fact that her songs can range from the extremely personal to the socially controversial. Her stance as a songwriter is not to please her listeners by singing about what they want to hear, but to sometimes delve into topics that prompts her audiences to do something extremely unpopular in this day and age: think for themselves.
