With each band member growing up in a different part of Texas, the four musicians came together when they all moved to Austin with the hopes of becoming professional musicians. And there, in 2005, Uncle Lucius was born. Creating an amalgamation of country and rock n' roll that references the roots of both genres - old outlaw country, rhythm & blues and gospel - the band creates something that is a product of the past century of Southern music. Touring constantly, the band has gained a reputation for its energetic live shows and secured a small but devoted group of fans across the country.
