Emmylou Harris is a singer/songwriter from Birmingham, Alabama whose decade-spanning career has seen her growth from a pop chart-topping country music success in the 1980s to becoming one of the most beloved matriarchs of American country and folk music. Known best as a songwriter and accompanying singer for some of country music's top acts, Emmylou Harris has also proven herself as a capable solo act, with several Grammy Award wins since her second album, Elite Hotel, won for Best Female Vocal Performance in 1976. Despite Harris' tremendous talent and success as a solo musician, it's hard not to consider her best work--both past and present--as being in collaboration with other artists who value the powerful emotion and dignity she adds to the performance.

The Washington Redskins are a member of the NFC East Division in the National Football League. The Redskins moved to Washington in 1937, after playing for five seasons in Boston. The Redskins are known for their spirited and devoted fan base. The team has had a sellout of every home game since 1973. Amongst these fans every Sunday are the famous "Hogettes," a group of 12 men who wear women's clothes and pig snouts while cheering on their favorite team.

    J Mascis

    Baltimore, MD 21218
Best known for founding and fronting the 1980s underground rock band Dinosaur Jr.--a group that relied both on heavily distorted guitars and melodic vocals, and was heavily indebted to the punk bands that preceded it--J Mascis is a guitarist and singer/songwriter based out of Massachusetts. He began his music career in high school, starting a hardcore group with Lou Barlow, who he later formed Dinosaur Jr. with. While the two musicians later had a falling out, both taking on solo careers, they have since reunited several times to uphold the work of their rather influential band. When not playing with Dinosaur Jr. or his several side projects, Mascis writes and performs more Americana-influenced, primarily acoustic pieces for his solo work.
