»Travis Tritt

April 11, 2015 8:00 PM

Since 1990, country singer Travis Tritt has been releasing records that seek to marry his love of r&b and gospel with that of the South's rich country and blues history. The bulk of Tritt's catalog is devoted to love ballads, most of which are lead by Tritt's own acoustic guitar melodies and sparse additional production. Like many country music stars Tritt has helped define, the music is almost always centers on love, loss and faith subjects that are most closely rooted in early r&b and gospel traditions.

»Gallagher: The Last Smash Tour!

April 18, 2015 8:00 PM

In 2004, Comedy Central rated Gallagher one the 100th best stand-up comedian of all time. The father of "prop comedy," Gallagher is probably best known for his signature "Sledge-o-Matic" bit, in which he demolishes watermelons (and other objects) with a sledgehammer at the end of each set. Though he reached the height of his popularity in the 1980s, Gallagher has been performing stand-up comedy for over 40 years. In recent years, he has often expressed his controversial opinions. Don't worry, though he still smashes things too.
