    Drive-by Truckers
    George's Majestic LoungeOctober 28, 2014
    519 W Dickson Street
    Fayetteville, AR 72701
Like most alt-country acts on the scene today, the Georgia based group Drive-By Truckers believes in the undaunted power of analog recording equipment. The group employs no real synthesized instruments--in fact, the group has three guitarists--and when the band goes into the studio, it prefers to lay down its songs on two inch tape as opposed to digital recording methods, the industry standards. The nostalgic approach to song writing/recording that Drive-By Truckers employs is working to the group's advantage, however. The band has been a favorite of critics ever since it released its debut LP in 1998 and with a rousing stage show that highlights each member's instrumental prowess, Drive-By Truckers has proven to be one of the more rewarding alt-country bands to track.

Starting to produce tracks at the age of seventeen from his home in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mimosa is an electronic producer known for his hard-hitting glitch-hop and dubstep tracks. His use of deep, rubbery bass tones, slow grooves and hip-hop inspired beats make him a perfect candidate to receive regular airplay at underground electronic clubs throughout the country. Now based out of Los Angeles, he continues to churn out albums and EPs full of his characteristic productions, as well as occasional collaborations with rappers and vocalists. Mimosa has also managed to develop a following amongst fans of the more experimental fringes of the jam band and livetronica worlds, having toured with both BLVD and STS9.

    Sound Tribe Sector 9 (Sts9)
    Fayetteville Town CenterNovember 05, 2014
    15 West Mountain Street
    Fayetteville, AR 72701
Known simply as STS9, Sound Tribe Sector 9 has risen out of Atlanta, Georgia as one of the most renowned livetronica bands in the world since its formation in the late 1990s. Adjoining jam band rock, layers of keyboards, digitized sounds and elements pulled from funk, jazz, hip-hop and various electronic dance music genres, the band is a staple on the touring and festival circuit and has helped paved the way for so many of its opening acts including Snoop Dog, Bassnectar and Pretty Lights. Though largely considered electronic music, STS9 primarily uses instruments to create its music, relying on the virtuosic abilities of its members to take electronic music to new heights with jam band sensibilities. However, the band forgoes the heavy focus on solos found in traditional jam band music and subscribes more to a groove-based mentality, combining tight rhythms with swaths of electronic textures.
