Never before -- and never again -- has a piece of furniture so captivated the imagination of children as the titular wardrobe in C.S. Lewis' "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", which contains exactly two mothballs, a half dozen old winter coats ... and one portal to a fantastical universe known as Narnia. The talented Providence Players community theater performers take audiences through that magical portal and into great adventure in this staged adaptation of the Lewis classic. Follow four brave kids, one great lion and a world of amazing characters in this rousing battle of good versus evil at the James Lee Community Center.
Poughkeepsie, NY's own pop punk band We Are the In Crowd was formed in 2009 with a lineup consisting of vocalist Taylor Jardine, bassist Mike Ferri, drummer Rob Chianelli and guitarists Jordan Eckes and Cameron Hurley. After an ex-member hacked the band's Myspace page and deleted all of its friends and music, the story was featured on Absolute Punk's website, snagging the attention of Hopeless Records, who subsequently signed the band as The In Crowd. After changing its name to We Are the In Crowd due to trademark issues, the band dropped its debut EP Guaranteed to Disagree in 2010, capturing a young audience with its power pop blend of female vocals and an air of high school rebellion. We Are the In Crowd dropped its first full length record, Best Intentions, in 2011 and supported the record with a tour of the US.
