This is one of the top golf courses in the metro area. The outstanding care and meticulous greens set Indian Creek apart. The 27-hole, championship layout means golfers can play one of three different 18-hole courses. Water hazards and bunkers add to the challenge, while young trees may cut golfers a break. Tee times can be made seven days in advance.
Experienced golfers will find this par 70, 18-hole course very challenging. A thick rough borders its narrow fairways, while natural water hazards add to the difficulty level. Players may choose to warm up at the driving range or take a pre or post game break in the clubhouse. Another amenity here is a complete 18-hole, grass putting green, where you can practice to your heart's content.
Golfers can choose between two 9 hole courses at this location: The Meadows, a challenging par 3, or The Links, a par 32 executive course. Both date back to 1989 and were designed by Jeff Brauer. Each features bent grass with water in play. Prices run slightly higher at The Links. Golfers can relax in the clubhouse before or after the round.
Here is the perfect place to spend a sunny day. Boating, sailing and fishing top the list of favorite activities, but you do not have to go in the water to have fun. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the view or kick back on a bench and relax. Steep sledding hills and cross-country skiing draw people here in the winter. A campground makes this lake unique, with 57 spots complete with electricity for RVs. Tents are also welcome. Admission is free; however, there is a charge for camping facilities.
Nestled amid a growing suburb, this lake and recreation area sits on more than 1,000 acres of land. You will find baseball fields and a soccer field, features not available at similar city lakes. Of course, fishing and boating are the main attractions. Visitors also make good use of the biking and walking path. No matter the weather, bring along something to eat. Covered picnic areas ensure not even a rain shower will ruin your lunch or supper. Admission is free.
Designed by well-known golf architect, Floyd Farley, this course helps golfers fine-tune their skills. Players can warm up on the driving range or practice their short game on a small putting green. You can rent an electric cart for $11 per person. Indoor tennis courts sit near the course. Even on busy days, there is plenty of parking available. This place opens daily at 7am.
