The Los Angeles Clippers are a professional basketball team and member of the National Basketball Association. The Clippers were originally founded in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves. In 1976, the franchise moved to San Diego and became the San Diego Clippers. After six seasons in San Diego, the team moved up to Los Angeles and became the NBA franchise in the city. intercollegiate teams of Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. An NCAA Division II school up until 1995, the university is now under Division I classification, where it competes in the Southern Conference. Men's and women's sports sponsored by Wofford include baseball, basketball, football and cross country.
