Constructed in 1769, the Warrington Meeting House is a typical Quaker house complete with a gable roof. This historical meetinghouse is included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
Dill's Tavern is a quaint little structure which was built in 1755. It has a mix of of the Early Republic and Colonial Revival styles of architecture. The tavern has undergone modifications in the later years, but has been preserved exceptionally well. Today, it functions as an interpretive history center and is open to public. The entire house can be explored by the visitors, so that they can have a feel of the 18th century living conditions. The facility is also available as a rental space for private events like weddings, meetings and reunions. A mix of modern facilities with the backdrop of an ancient structure is the perfect combination to host your intimate events.
This unusual festival offers a chance to explore other cultures through a series of workshops held at Western Maryland College. Generally, participants in Common Ground On The Hill enroll in classes ranging from the music of Africa to the sounds of Appalachia. There are also workshops on Celtic printmaking, metalsmithing, origami and sweet grass basketry, as well as structured children's programs. Nightly concerts feature instructors and students. This venue hosts variety of events and workshops to support the local performers as well as to entertain audiences with stellar performances. The agricultural center showcases sporting and entertainment events along with regularly conducting fairs, flea markets, farmers market and the like. The Messiah College in Grantham is a Christian college that offers students a chance to learn applied arts and sciences, besides inculcating a sense of pride and duty towards the religion. Although the college is known for the high-standard education that is offered here, the entertainment and recreaiton needs of students are well-looked after as well. You can witness the artistic skills and athletic talent of the college students at the various well-equipped venues of the college that host numerous sports tournaments, concerts and cultural events. One of the venues where these events takes place is the Brubaker Auditorium. This multi-utility event center can accommodate 1,800 spectators in its premises.
