The Ontario, Canada-based outfit Rush is a progressive rock outfit whose sound has consistently evovled its sound since its formation in the late 1960s. With a fluctuating lineup that finally solidified in 1974, the band released its eponymous debut album with a bluesy heavy metal sound. As Rush's notoriety grew through the end of the 1970s and peaked during the early 1980s with hit songs such as "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight," its sound grew to encompass hard rock elements and eventually synthesizers. With lyrics largely focused on fan-boy obsessions like dragons, wizards, magical spells and various other fantasy elements, the band embraces its nerd persona and runs with it because no matter how corny its lyrics are, Rush writes some of the most influential and well thought of progressive music.

Kenny Chesney - The Big Revival Tour 2015
Austin360 AmphitheaterMay 21, 2015 7:00 PM
9201 Circuit of the Americas Boulevard
Austin, TX 78617
Growing up in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kenny Chesney had a fairly normal upbringing. He went to school like most budding adults and he was a member of his school's baseball and football teams. Chesney was on a straight path to becoming a working professional until he received a guitar for Christmas one year. This changed everything. After spending a good deal of time dedicating himself to learning the instrument, Chesney started writing songs with a distinctive modern country sound. He released his debut LP, In My Wildest Dreams, in 1994 and although his notoriety didn't necessarily explode after his first album was dropped, with more album releases and cross-country tours, Chesney would grow to become one of the more commercially successful country stars of the aughts.

Austin band, Crooks is a country band that makes authentic, down-to-earth music with a Tex-Mex vibe. Using horns to stretch their sound, Crooks are able to span a variety of musical styles, including blues, jazz, Latin and funk. Though the members themselves are relatively young, they hope to create a nostalgia for Texas' past when bar fights were common, and the whiskey flowed.

With humble origins in Georgia, Billy Currington left his home to pursue a professional music career in Nashville, and like so many before him, his first attempt at making it in the industry was unsuccessful. After retracting to work various day jobs, he eventually got his demo tapes into the right hands and landed a recording contract with Mercury Records in 2003. Later the same year, Currington dropped his eponymous debut album and has since become a well-respected character around Nashville.
