The Miami Hurricanes is the name of the sports teams that compete for the University of Miami in the NCAA's Division I. The team's colors are green, orange and white, and its mascot is an Ibis--an animal, that according to schoollegend, was the last animal to flee an approaching hurricane and the first to come back, making it a symbol of steadfast resistance.

Dopapod

Charlottesville, VA 22902
The cross-genre sound of Dopapod is the result of fearless experimentation and a disregard for stylistic rules. With a buffet mix of influences that includes electronic and indie, classic and alternative rock, the four-piece band from Brooklyn first captured its sound in 2009 with its debut album Radar. Critically acclaimed for its experimental finesse, the album set the standard high for Dopapod and the band responded with its 2011 live follow-up I Saw Live Dopapod Live Evil I Was. Though recorded live the record featured spliced and mixed multi-track recordings that demonstrated the bands mastery of both dubstep drops and guitar-powered rock. Dopapod released its second studio album, Drawn Onward, in 2011.
