The Oklahoma City Barons is an American hockey franchise that competes in the American Hockey League. Founded in 1984 as the Nova Scotia Oilers, the team has changed cities and monikers several times over the years. Debuting as the Oklahoma City Barons at the start of the 2010 season, the team acts as the top affiliate to the NHL's Edmonton Oilers.
