Dance Gavin Dance, a post-hardcore band, was created in Sacramento, California in 2005. The band's debut album, Downtown Battle Mountain, came out in 2007 and it plays its mash-up of progressive rock-influenced blend of screamo and hardcore at a variety of concerts and festivals. The six-piece is known for its often turbulent going-ons behind-the-scenes, with lineup changes and stories of band members fighting frequently surfacing.
Joseph Anthony Somers-Morales is an R&B artist from Texas who goes by the name SoMo. After rising to recognition through his Youtube video uploads in 2011, he signed a deal with Republic Records and released his debut single "Ride," in 2013. Later the same year SoMo dropped his first album, My Life, stepping outside his comfort zone of cover songs and demonstrating his own songwriting abilities. Blending pop and soul into his R&B sound, he released his eponymous sophomore effort in 2014.
