This workshop will benefit everyone from novice to those who are more experienced. Is there an age requirement?   Yes. All participants must be 18 years or older. What are the parking instructions?   Please contact the hotel/venue that your workshop will be held in for parking instructions and rates.   TICKETS & REGISTRATION Can we purchase tickets at the door?   No. Due to limited seating, all tickets must be purchased online. Are there group rates?   No. Group rates are not available. What is the registration deadline?   Early registration will begin February 13. Registration begins February 24 and will continue online until the event is sold out. What happens if after I register, I am unable to make it to the workshop?   You may transfer your ticket to a friend. Just email us at with your request and you will be contacted. You may also transfer your ticket to another available city. Send your request to and you will be contacted. We have a no refund policy.   THE WORKSHOP Is there a dress code for the workshop/private audition?   Please wear something comfortable. Specifically for the day of the workshop, we recommend layered clothing so you can adjust to the temperature of the room. Will there be a break during the workshop?   Yes. There will be at least two 15 minute breaks. (Breaks are subject to change based on the needs of each class.) Is there a check in? What is needed?   Yes. The check in station will be open 60 minutes before each workshop. Please bring your Eventbrite ticket, printed or via mobile, and a photo ID. If for some reason you misplace your ticket or do not have it available on a mobile device, we can check you in with your photo ID. What should I bring to the workshop?   Please bring a pencil/pen, pad, and copies of the scenes/monologues that will be provided to you via email two (2) weeks from your scheduled workshop date. Should I prepare my own scene or monologue for the workshop?   We will provide scenes and monologues that will be used during the workshop. They will be emailed to you two (2) weeks from your scheduled workshop date. If you would like to bring an additional monologue of your choosing, you may do so. Are we allowed to bring food?   Eating during the workshop is not permitted, however you may bring food to eat during the breaks. For your convenience, a water station will be set up in the room. Am I allowed to record the workshop?   No. There are no video or audio recordings allowed. All cellphones must be turned off upon entering the room. Anyone caught recording the workshop will be asked to leave with no refund. Can I bring someone to the workshop and/or audition?   Only those who have purchased a ticket for the workshop will be allowed to attend. The auditions are for registered attendees only.     THE AUDITIONS Will specific times be given for the private audition on Sunday?   Yes. Registrants will receive an email the evening before the workshop with the scheduled audition times. If you register after that time, you must request an audition time the day of the workshop at the check in table. Audition times cannot be changed. I am from out-of-town, can I request a specific audition time to accommodate my travel arrangements?   Yes. Please email us at to request a specific audition time. Please tell us what time you would need to leave the audition venue in order to make your travel arrangements. Please know we will do our best to accommodate you. In the event we are unable, there is still great news you will be allowed to submit a video audition for your chance to be cast in the next David E. Talbert production. Can I only come for the audition?   No. The private audition is a bonus for only those who have registered for the workshop. Will there be a check-in for the private audition?   Yes. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your audition time slot. How long will the auditions last?   Once youve entered the room, auditions will last 3-5 minutes. What should I prepare for the private audition with Mr. Talbert?   Actors, please prepare a 2 minute monologue. Either the one provided from the workshop or one of your own choosing. Please make sure the monologue you choose is age appropriate. Comedians can either perform a 2 minute monologue (from the workshop or one of your own choosing) or 3 minutes of stand up. Singers, please prepare a 2 minute monologue (from the workshop or one of your own choosing) as well as the chorus of song of your choosing to be performed acapella. Make sure the song highlights your range and is age appropriate. Should I bring a headshot and resume to the private audition?   Yes. If you do not have a professional headshot, please do not be discouraged. You may bring any photo of yourself as long as it represents your current look. You do not need to provide an extensive resume. If you have no experience that is perfectly fine. Just bring your photo. I am a singer who also plays the guitar; may I bring my instrument to accompany myself?   No. All songs must be performed acapella. What happens if I miss my audition time?   All missed auditions times will be forfeited. Can I get a copy of my audition?   No. We do not provide copies of the auditions; however, you may use any of the monologues provided by the workshop for your future auditions/recordings.   CALLBACKS & CASTING When will we receive callbacks?   Callback announcements will be emailed to all registrants 3-4 weeks after the auditions. How will I know if I am cast?   Our production coordinator will contact you via email if you are cast. What happens if I dont get cast?   Good news!
