The first public library in Onslow County, this library was established in 1936 and is filled with a wide selection of books, magazines, and reference books plus offers a variety of special programs and activities for children.
One of the most poignant houses in the Jacksonville, the Pelletier House is touted to be the oldest remaining structure in the region. It stands stern on the picturesque site and dates back to the 1850s. It is an architecturally brilliant house that has immense use of white in its color. The structure is a superb depiction of the Greek Revival style of architecture. It has also been registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
