This Thanksgiving Day tradition has been drawing spectators from all over the world since 1924. The main attractions for children and adults alike are the huge balloon cartoon characters like Popeye, Bullwinkle and many Disney personalities. The parade starts around 9am Thanksgiving morning at Central Park West and 77th Street and ends at 7th and 34th Street at Herald Square. You can also watch the balloons being inflated the night before at Central Park West between 77th and 81st streets along Columbus Avenue. Admission is free.
