Inspired by the true story of Rabbi Menachem Youlus, the self-dubbed "Jewish Indiana Jones," "G-d's Honest Truth" humorously explores how the Jewish community deals with scandal. Roberta and Larry always try to do the right thing -- but just how far are they willing to go? When they have the opportunity to help rescue a Holocaust Torah, they know they have to bring it to Temple Beth David. But that task proves to be no cakewalk. From the Helen Hayes Award-winning playwright and recent recipient of the 2014 Jewish Plays Project Award, "G-d's Honest Truth" gets its world premiere from D.C.'s Theater J.

Wicked

Adapted from Gregory Maguire's novel of the same name, Wicked re-tells the story of The Wizard of Oz from the point of view of Elphaba and Glinda, two ofthe witches of Oz. According to this version of the famous story, the wicked witch of the west is a misunderstood character whose complex childhood and dramatic history with several of the story's beloved characters, particularly the Wizard of Oz himself, have attributed to her "wicked" reputation. Written primarily for adults, Wicked raises questions about our contemporary ethical standards.
