»Addams Family

March 28, 2015 6:00 PM

A musical take on a beloved American franchise, The Addams Family is a theatrical production that bring the ghoulish Addams family to the stage. Based on the original single-panel gag cartoon by Charles Addams and not the more recognizable TV series of the same name, the show begins when Wednesday Addams plans to bring her family and her new boyfriend's family together for one normal dinner. However, her hilariously macabre family, who can't seem to fit in, have a very different standard of normal.

»Rumors

March 28, 2015 8:00 PM

He left audiences in stitches with "Barefoot in the Park" and "The Odd Couple", and Neil Simon turns the comedy dial up to 11 in "Rumors". A farce in the grand door-slamming, ridiculous-lie-piled-atop-ridiculous-lie tradition, "Rumors" starts swirling when Charlie, the Deputy Mayor of New York, invites his society pals to a swanky black-tie party at his townhouse. What could go wrong? Well, Charlie shooting himself in the earlobe certainly sends the action in a decidedly wacky direction. And his wife is nowhere to be found. One comic mishap after another whips up this frothy and funny evening of misunderstanding, intrigue and (yep) rumors.

»How The Other Half Loves

March 28, 2015 8:00 PM

A funny and well-crafted madcap masterwork, "How the Other Half Loves" finds Bob having an affair with his boss' wife, Fiona. When it looks like Bob's wife and Fiona's husband might be on to them, they use a third, unsuspecting couple as their alibi. Over the course of two dinner parties, ingeniously depicted at the same time, their lies spiral out of control and the couples' love lives become entangled with ever-escalating comic confusion. Acclaimed British playwright Alan Ayckbourn, a Tony Award winner for Lifetime Achievement, penned this famed farce about marital deceit -- and now The British Players bring it to new life on the stage of Kensington Town Hall.
