Sam's All American Sports Bar has been voted "Best Sports Bar" in Nashville seven times by the Nashville Scene Magazine, and they know what they're talking about. With two locations, one in Hillsboro Village and one in Hendersonville, all of Nashville has an opportunity to enjoy a game at Sam's. Unlike many chain restaurants and bars, Sam's puts just as much emphasis on their food as they do on the big game. The pizzas are handcrafted and creative and the burgers are juicy and delicious, but nobody really goes to Sam's just for the food, as there are plenty of other options in the area. Check out their website for Happy Hour specials and events. You'll be sure to have a great time at Sam's. -Lynn-nore Chittom
Thank God Doughnuts are simply heavenly. The doughnuts are every bit as tasty as any of the national doughnut chains, and customers can enjoy the added benefit of supporting a truly local business. The shop itself is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Hendersonville and offers a bit of seating for customers wishing to enjoy a bit of sweetness while sitting down. While most of their doughnuts are standard styles, their apple fritters are exceptional and very much worth a try. A breakfast stop at Thank God Doughnuts will leave you saying "Thank God" for Thank God Doughnuts!

Shipley Donuts, or Shipley's as it is also called, offers more than sixty different varieties of fresh and delicious doughnuts. This small, Southern doughnut chain began in 1936 in Houston, Texas. The Hendersonville store has been serving up delicious doughnuts for as long as any of the locals can remember and way longer than the larger doughnut chains have been in town. Shipley Donuts have a little more to them than some of their national competitors, and they're not quite as sugary-sweet. If you want a tasty doughnut and you like the idea of trying what the locals love, Shipley's is the place. - Lynn-nore Chittom
