Golf & Games Family Park offers fun for kids of all ages. There is miniature golf, of course, but you can also try your luck at the batting cages, in the go-karts or at a game of laser tag. For the kids, there is the fun track for young drivers, plus bumper boats and a host of age-appropriate rides. In business in Memphis for 35 years, this park specializes in group outings such as company picnics. The private area includes pavilions, volleyball and softball fields, a driving range, a nature trail and a swimming pool.
In a city as flat as Memphis, the rolling hills of the Galloway Municipal Golf Course are unusual and refreshing. Many golfers find this course the most fun to play because of the variations in the terrain. Reservations are taken, but not required for this public course. The Shelby Farms Greenline is a trail that connects Shelby Farms Park and Midtown Memphis. It spans 6.5 miles (10.5 kilometers) and is used by young and old alike for recreation and transportation. You can walk or bike along the trail, taking in the scenery. If you're lucky, you'll spot deer and other wildlife on your ride. It's a great way to get exercise and see more of Memphis.

Possessed of a dirt track and a drag strip, this park hosts more than 215 racing events a year, including NHRA and NASCAR events. Information and racing schedules are available on their website, and you can also join their fan club if you want to keep abreast of the ongoing activities.
This is a great place to let go and have fun. For a reasonable price, you can vent your hostilities in a friendly 20-25 minute game of laser tag. Games are played in a big, specially designed maze with multiple levels, ramps and catwalks. The game is enhanced with lighting effects, fog, music and sound effects. You can play individually or on teams. About 27-38 players are usually in the maze at a time. The staff will work with you to customize games for special events, such as office parties or birthdays. Closed Monday, open other times for groups by appointment.
Memphis International Raceway is located in Millington, Tennessee. It is an auto racing track and is also known as Memphis Motorsports Park. It has a drag strip and a 1.8-mile (2.9-kilometer) road course. It opened in 1987 and has hosted the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the Camping World Truck Series and the ASA Late Model Series races.
Near the University of Memphis and the Oak Court Mall, Audubon Park offers several recreational facilities, including a golf course, playground, tennis courts, a soccer field and picnic areas. Memphis Botanic Garden is a collection of gardens that covers over 96 acres (39 hectares) in East Memphis. The lovely Japanese garden, with its bridges, ponds and goldfish is a favorite with visitors, who come for the candlelight evening tours in the summer. In the spring, the Ketchum Iris Garden glows with a myriad of colors, while the Municipal Rose Garden is at its best in May, June, and September. There is even a Sensory Garden that is designed to appeal to all five senses.
Get outside and enjoy a day at The Links at Audubon. This 18-hole golf course is public and features beautiful scenery and great amenities. There's rental equipment available, or you can outfit yourself with some great gear at the shop. The snack bar is great to visit after you've worked up an appetite on the links. Tank tops and cutoffs are forbidden by the dress code.

It is certified as a Certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary, making it one of the most eco-friendly golf courses around.
