Blues-rock singer/songwriter Amos Lee grew up in Philadelphia and planned on becoming an elementary teacher for much of his life. After graduating from college he fulfilled this plan, but after a few years realized music was his true passion, quit his job and self-released an EP in 2004. This EP garnered him a huge following in his hometown, caught the attention of Blue Note Records, which signed him immediately, as well as Nora Jones who asked Lee to tour with her. His next release, produced by Nora Jones' bassist and featuring vocals from Jones herself, won Lee huge acclaim, peaking at #2 on the Billboard charts. Amos Lee continues to find success, releasing hit albums and performing to sold-out arenas.

Tulsa, Oklahoma band, Broncho, formed in early 2010 as a side project for members of various other Oklahoma bands. By February, the group was playing live shows--short sets consisting of two minute garage ditties--and a few months after that, it had released an album. While Broncho considers itself punk rock, the majority of its recorded songs reflect a blend of Ramones-esque pop and slightly lo-fi garage, resulting in a palatable form of modern rock n' roll. The band's live shows, however, do showcase a more punk aesthetic, with a DIY sound and an aggressive playing style.

Set in 19th-century Paris, the show follows the story of chorus girl Christine Daaé and the mysterious phantom, a disfigured musical genius living in the bowels of the Paris Opera House. While tutoring her on her vocals, the Phantom becomes dangerously obsessed with Christine, and as he begins to make his presence known, the growing tension within the opera house culminates in the Phantom and Christine meeting face to face. The recipient of both the Tony Award and Olivier Award for Best Musical, the show is Broadway's longest-running musical.
