The Southeastern Kentucky Expo & Agriculture Center is a local events venue playing host to a number of fairs, festivals and other similar gatherings. Mainly focused on the regional agricultural produce, the center also hosts public events where they bring to stage a number of renowned artists. Toby Mac, Michael W. A member of Food Not Bombs, Groundswell Collective is an organization that aims to foster a sense of community through the diverse activities and events it organizes. A comfortable living room with old couches, reading room with lending library and music room give this place a warm and inviting vibe, and it is no wonder that so many people stop by for the events. There are yard sales, workshops, concerts and more, and bands can even rent rehearsal space.
The Birdhouse is a non-profit community arts venue run by volunteers. It is the brainchild of the Neighborhood Center to improve the 4th and Gill neighborhood. Set in a 19th-century Victorian home, it has an art exhibition space, a performance stage, community garden, studio, a library and archives zone. They host movies for free on Monday nights and concerts on a regular basis.
A theater that once was a grocery store, the Relix Variety Theatre is a venue that can be used for anything reasonably entertaining.
