Tom Paxton is an American folk singer who has led a successful and storied career since he released his 1962 debut LP, I'm the Man That Built the Bridges. Born in Chicago, he moved to Wickenburg, Arizona as a child and soon began spending time at numerous dude ranches, where he developed his strong interest in folk music. At the age of 16, Paxton was given his first guitar and he quickly immersed himself in composition. Spending years honing his skills in Greenwich Village, New York City during the 1960s folk revival scene, Paxton went on to became a breakout success after his debut album became a crossover hit.Given a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009, Paxton has proven to be one of the more iconic and influential musicians to have emerged out of the 1960s folk scene.

New York-based Anamanaguchi claims to use a 1985 Nintendo Super NES to make almost all of its music. The hyper, neon sounds of the NES make for an epileptic listening experience, which is then amplified by the fact that Anamanaguchi injects punk percussion into many of its tracks, resulting in a truly neck-breaking experience. The band has chosen to self-release much of its music, presumably due to the copyrighted glitch samples lifted from 1980s Nintendo games. The band does tour though, offering a live experience worthy of any die-hard gamer's extracurricular time.

The Schooley Mountain Band is a psychedelic rock band from Fairfield, New Jersey that was founded in 2010.After solidifying its unique sound, the band moved to New York City and managed to distinguish itself with some characteristic Garden State casualness, helping it stand out from the hoards of pushy, over-achieving bands that inhabit the Big Apple's music scene.
