Home to the Missoula Osprey Pioneer league baseball team, the Ogren Park at Allegiance Field is a magnificent baseball stadium. Built in 2004 to replace Lindbord-Cregg Field, the stadium has a seating capacity for 3,500 spectators and is a haven for players as well as the large number of baseball fans in the city. Apart from baseball, the stadium is often used as a concert venue and has hosted performances from sensations like Bob Dylan and The Beach Boys. Call ahead for ticketing and other information.
"The largest cinema event in Montana and the premiere venue for non-fiction film in the American West," the annual Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is host to more than 70 visiting artists and an average of 125 non-fiction films at the historic Wilma Theater and Crystal Theater in downtown Missoula. Panel discussions, workshops, pitch sessions, parties and receptions are open to the public.
One room at the Missoula Hell Gate Elks Lodge was given a complete facelift in an attempt to create a happening music venue, and that is just what Stage 112 has managed to achieve. This space, which has a capacity of around 500, gives Missoula some fantastic live entertainment, and there is an attempt to bring in well-known musical acts in addition to local ones. Through this concert venue, Seafarer Entertainment brings hip hop, electronic, jazz, rock, country and many more genres to Missoula.
Home to the University of Montana Grizzlies, the Dahlberg Arena seats up to a maximum of 7,500 people. The venue is also available for other large events, such as musical performances. The primary sport in the Arena is basketball, as both the female and male Grizzlies basketball teams play here.
