"Built around 1832-1860, this Greek Revival two-story frame house is one of the oldest structures in Statesville. In 1865 it served as headquarters for Governor Zebulon Vance during his exile from the state capitol during the last months of the Civil War. The house is now operated as a museum by the United Daughters of the Confederacy."
Museum of Mountain Bike Art & Technology, popularly known as MOMBAT, is dedicated to this sport and the engineering of a mountain bike. Located within the First Flight Bikes store, in downtown Statesville, this museum houses over 400 vintage cycles. The museum will show you, how the bike is more than just a vehicle, it is a work of art. Intricate details such as the paint, the spikes and more.
