The two orchestras will perform their first side by side Concert since the CSYO's recent affiliation with the CSO.  The combined forces of the two orchestras, numbering nearly 80 players, will perform Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 in C minor, conducted by CSYO Music Director, Jack Cleghorn.  Also on the program are portions of two violin concertos; the first movement of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor and the first movement of Bruch's Violin Concerto no. 1.  CSO Concertmaster, Yuriy Bekker, will be on the podium for the concertos, directing the CSO core musicians as they accompany CSYO soloists, Nanako Sharai and Benjamin Kremer, recent winners of this season's CSYO Concerto Competition.
