Wits End Saloon, in association with whiskeytraveler.com, will be holding our FIRST EVER whiskey tasting. Join us for an evening of gourmet food expertly paired with some of the finest bourbons Buffalo Trace Distillery (maker of the World Famous "Pappy Van Winkle" brand) has to offer. Whiskey expert, Rick Henry, will be on hand to provide insight and education into what it takes to create a world class whiskey and explain the differences between the various offerings.View More >
The four course meal is being prepared by one of Baltimore's leading chefs, Chuck Alan, who brings over 20 years of culinary experience and currently serves as Executive Chef at Sascha's in Mt. Vernon.
The evening's meal will feature:
1st course: Roasted Beet Salad w/ bourbon-berry molasses vinaigrette
2nd course: Pistachio Bellini, cashew butter and chipotle jam
3rd course: Shrimp Tempura "Sushi" w/ bourbon soy reduction
4th course: Short Rib, Cranberry Compote, Parsnip Puree
One of Kentucky's oldest and most distinguished distilleries, Buffalo Trace will be offering six different samplings drawn from many of its finest bourbons. The tasting will include such classics as Blanton's, Eagle Rare, 1792, Sazerac Rye and other highly esteemed products*.

Time: 6:30-8:30 (feel free to stick around as the bar will remain open after the event)
*Due to availability, exact brands to be sampled won't be known until the evening of the event but will include an assortment of Buffalo Trace's higher end bourbons.
