The Lake Wright Golf Course is a par-70, 18-hole course that opened in 1966. Designed by Al Jamison, the course covers more than 6,000 yards, and has a rating of 69.3.
A semiprivate 6,740 yard, 72 par golf course that features beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay and distinctive Bermuda fairways which are accented by lush bentgrass greens. The club also includes a driving range, a putting green, a chipping area, and a practice bunker.

The Virginia Zoo has been collecting animals since the beginning of the 20th Century. The zoo houses animals from all over the world, from domestic farm animals to Siberian tigers and white rhinos. In addition to animals, the zoo simultaneously houses a large horticultural collection as well. The zoo can also host birthday parties and other private events, as well as zoo camps, Girl and Cub Scout programs and family programs.

The on-site gift shop (open Monday-Saturday) sells a variety of Rowena's sweet treats, or if you can't make it into the store, you can always order online and get your baked goods and jams delivered directly to your door.
Kayak Nature Tours host a great range of water-based tours around Virginia. Intrepid adventurers can get up close to dolphins, or see ospreys and bald eagles in the peaceful surrounds of First Landing State Park. You can choose between single kayaks or two-person kayaks and whilst the trips are seasonal, there is a trip available for most times of the year. Part of the Nauticus Maritime Center, the USS Wisconsin came to Norfolk in 2000. The ship is over 60 years old, first launched in 1943, and is one of the largest battleships ever built by the US Navy. Children and history buffs especially love it, and docents are placed in various spots on board to answer any questions about the ship's colorful history.
