As a part of the University of Central Oklahoma School of Music's Jazz Studies Division, the UCO Jazz Lab is, as the name suggests, a sort-of laboratory dedicated to Jazz. This venue is a jazz fan's dream come true, because it presents performances by from known as well as not-yet-known artists from all over the country. In addition to its location as a venue for performances, the UCO Jazz Lab also has its own recording studio. This helps fledgling musicians find their voice and hone their chops. The OKC Infoshop is a community venture run by volunteers who wish to bring free entertainment and information to people. All programmes run collectively are arranged by the members through mutual decisions. They also run a "Bike Recyclery" where they offer bicycles and related services for almost no cost. The Prairie Dog Lending Library is a similar venture, the membership for which simply needs a donation of 5$. Many talks, programmes and concerts have been held as part of their initiatives. Bands can contact them with their work and they will be featured.
