Congregation Beth Israel is the oldest synagogue in the valley and serves the Jewish community of Phoenix and Scottsdale. The rabbis conduct regular shabbat services as well as bar and bat mitzvahs for members and guests. The Sylvia Plotkin Judaica Museum
on site conducts tours that offer insight into the Jewish culture and religion, believed to be 5000 years old. The congregational library is one the largest Judaica libraries in the SouthWest and has a collection of over 12,000 religious texts. The synagogue also houses a conference room and ballroom available for members. They also host Camp Stein in summers for children and young adults.
