Georges Valentine Shipwreck Site has become a well known diving and snorkeling destination as it rests in shallow waters. Located near the House of Refuge Museum
, it is half buried in the sand and divided into five conspicuous sections. Georges Valentine was an Italian, iron-hulled barque which got shipwrecked in 1904, took five of its crew members with it to the sea. Their remains were never found. The wreckage has become a seasonal haven for sea creatures due to its shallow depth and migratory sand.
