The Highlands Golf Course is counted as one of the best golf courses in Idaho and was rated the second best golf course by Mountain West Magazine. Functional since 1991, the golf course lures golfers with an exciting array of holes.
The Spokane River runs from Lake Coeur d'Alene, across the border into Washington until it finally comes to a stop at Franklin Delano Roosevelt Lake. The river stretches 111 miles across several dams and a natural waterfall, and was used extensively in the early days of Spokane's milling industry. The dams halted salmon migration upriver, effectively wiping out the steelhead population in conjunction with toxic water conditions from a nearby smelting plant super site.
The expansive Landings Park spans 11 acres (4.45 hectares), and is a prominent recreational facility in the neighborhood. The park has a playground for kids, a splash pad for hot summers as well as sports facilities like basketball and volleyball courts.
The expansive Bluegrass Park is a lush expanse of manicured lawns, playgrounds and picnic areas. Besides this, the park offers sports facilities like disc golf as well as volleyball and basketball courts.
Riverstone Park in Coeur d'Alene is a scenic picnic spot. This recreational area boasts of large open spaces with well-laid out tracks for a pleasant stroll in the evening.
Sunshine Meadows is a little neighborhood park with playground and sports facilities like basketball and volleyball courts. There's picnic shelters for families and bicycle trails as well.

Schuler Performing Arts Center hosts North Idaho College's theatrical and musical events and remains a famous venue for cultural events. Located on the 332 Hubbard Street, Fort Sherman Chapel is a petite church, library and hall. With a seating capacity of 80-100, the church premises can be availed for weddings and private events.
This 5 acre (2.02 hectares) park offers an array of sports facilities including a softball field and a skatepark. There is also a small play area for the kids.
History of the Mullan Road dates back to 1860, when it became the first road to facilitate travel by wagon across the rocky mountains. It was built by and named after Lieut. John Mullan of the US Army.
Coeur d'Alene City Park is 16.5 acres (6.68 hectares) park overlooking the river. Enjoy several outdoor and recreational activities at the park.
