Village of Greenwich Historic District

The Greenwich Village Historic District was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation preserves and protects this historical district. The Society conducts village tours, educational programs and exhibitions that give insight into the heritage of the village and other facts. It features buildings, parks and a Civil War monument. Since most of the structures were built from 1840 and 1900, different architectural styles were applied.
