A neoclassical Beaux Arts style building, this two-story brick structure has a high basement and high windows continuing around the building. The main entrance features three round head archways with high brick columns on a cut-stone foundation. The main wall of the building behind the portico is embellished with sculptured cut stone and Doric-style stone caps. This unusual architecture and history has earned Old Bend High School a place in the National Register of Historic Places. The building opened its gates in 1925 as a public high school until 1956 when it was re-christened as a junior high school.
