A flour mill built in 1663, Swift Creek Mill has changed a number of hands in the past. Today, this old structure is dinner theater that offers candle light dinners in both, the spectacular Mill room and Granite room. Advance reservations can get you tickets to the air conditioned theater which is open from Wednesday to Saturday nights all year round.
Situated in Pocahontas State Park, Pocahontas Heritage Amphitheater gives you the chance to enjoy various cultural events in lush green surroundings. Built in 1938, this amphitheater was torn down and reconstructed in 1997, and now has a capacity of about 4000 spectators. If you don't wish to utilize the bench seating, which can accommodate 350, the grassy slopes also provide good views of the stage. The amphitheater is the site for many concert series.
